Upgrading from Stable to Unstable: auto-login doesn't work

#1

After upgrading the auto-login has stop working, even if I set it in Login Manager Settings - Auto login

#2

I have this problem also :frowning: , my system is also UNSTABIL, but I was installed the latest UNSTABIL edition (my system is not upgraded  ) .
And some other bug:

  • drag and drop method can’t work in Insight
  • the verbose boot is not perfect, only from “half way” on the first half the TrueOS logo is visible (I switched on it in /boot/loader.conf, /boot/defaults/loader.conf without any luck)
  • in root mode (Charlie) the Control Panel can’t start
  • the Lumina Text Editor can’t remember for the edited character size (everytime starting with 12 sized characters)
  • the system very slowly (after some click on the “Restart the Network”) can connect for the network (this problem is in STABLE edition also, but after some sysctl setup disappear, so far I could’t try these setups in the present UNSTABLE edition yet (I have a lot of overtime in the company therefore I have free time only on the weekends :frowning: ) .

You can try the Root (Charlie) account :
Desktop Settings - Login Manager Settings - Allow Root Login DANGEROUS
and after a simple reboot or logout from the user account and login again as Charlie.
