I’m using TrueOS Edge, but it’s growing increasingly out of date. The kernel build dates from late March. Since then, there have been 4 FreeBSD SAs and 39 vulnerabilities in the packages (totalling 356 CVEs). At this point I assume that TrueOS is abandoned in favor of Trident. So what’s the upgrade path to a supported FreeBSD-based OS? Or do I need to do a complete reinstall with plain FreeBSD or GhostBSD?
I’d be interested to know that too. Please.
It is (of what they call “legacy” TOS).
There was however some tos-server release in June.
And successful builds of trident, but no releases.
There is no EDGE, either STABLE or UNSTABLE
Patience on the Trident release. It’s being worked on
http://www.project-trident.org/ is the web site
Once it’s ready for release, it’ll be announced there, here, and https://t.me/TrueOSCommunity
Until then search here for Trident, and this blog entry
I think Unstable used to be called “Edge” and Stable used to be called “Production.” Now we use Stable and Unstable instead of EDGE, and PRODUCTION.
My bad. works for me.
Yeah, unstable is equal to edge, AFAIK.
... TrueOS package set ………………… EDGE TrueOS version …………………………… TrueOS-Desktop-201803131015 ...
cool. only knew STABLE & UNSTABLE
