Trident RC1 and RC2 installation failure

#1

Hi i have currently trueOS 18.03 installed on my system and everything works. I installed Trident rc1 and rc2 image.

Each time i downloaded fresh image of rc1 and rc2 on the trueOS system. created a boot stick with

dd if=Trident-RC1-x64-20181008.iso of=/dev/da0 bs=1M conv=sync
dd if=Trident-RC2-x64-20181017.iso of=/dev/da0 bs=1M conv=sync

During the installation i left all settings as default. Only on the installation option Hardware or BE i did select BE installation.

After Installation the system fails to boot and drops into the enviroment

Did you try again or an other method ?

#3

I successfully installed Trident:
OS Version: 18.12-PRERELEASE2
Build Date: 13.0-CURRENT-up-20181218_161120

I had to upgrade my bios, in order to see legacy BIOS or UEFI boot options.
Thank you for asking.

I’m happy for you

Thank you. I am really happy, too

“bs=1M conv=sync” is what I missed off the dd command (run under Linux and I just assumed the command was the same).

Trident now installed and working.
