System updater cheated me

Fresh installed UNSTABLE system.

System updater told me it should update a mere kB package (I don’t remember which). I said: “OK”.

It’s now downloading the whole system (again).

I can’t help but saying: WTF!

because you are special?

depending on which ISOI/IMG you did the fresh install with, yeah that sounds about right

Hmm… I did the fresh install with the 2017-11-14 image.

Does it sound right?

I think so. I know Lumina was a small upgrade, and I know there was an update previous to that. so yes

I have already done a full update after install.

That’s what I get from update manager:

The following 1 package(s) will be affected (of 0 checked):

Installed packages to be REINSTALLED:
	dialog4ports-0.1.6 [trueos-major] (option removed: FIX_SIZE_METRICS)

Number of packages to be reinstalled: 1

11 KiB to be downloaded.

I don’t think it should download the whole system (whithout asking first).

depends on what was changed in “world”. FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT changes weekly
