Fluxbox Back to Lumina?

#1

OK, it was my error. I loaded Fluxbox just out of curiosity, but now I have no selection at login to go back to Lumina. How does one reload a previously configured Lumina desktop from Fluxbox? Thanks in advance…

not sure.

have you searched through the forum? I think @beanpole135 may have answered in another thread

I have never used Floxbox, but have tried to load it just out of curiosity and noticed quite long delay before desktop loads (around 30 seconds). I tried to open xterm from menu, but it did not start (waited about a minute then left session). I do have Lumina as an option after logging out of Fluxbox.

I have twin monitor setup and monitor positions in Fluxbox are opposite of what I have set up in Lumina. No settings are changed when I log back to Lumina.

Just logging-in to Fluxbox will not remove/change Lumina at all - you must have done something else on your system such as removing the “lumina” package from your system or changing/deleting the “/usr/local/share/xsessions/Lumina-DE.desktop” registration file.

Just for the record, yes, I did search on the forum, but to no avail. I don’t know what I did, but in addition, none of the applications would open on Fluxbox, not even a terminal. Since there was no data at risk, I simply reinstalled, and I’m back in biz.
Thanks for the suggestions.
