Background of the icon of a task

#1

I’d like a plain background, not (as in the screenshot) a gradient.

Please: is there a user preference for this?

You will want to hit the “edit” button next to the current “Theme Template” to edit that property. This will let you edit the theme and turn off things like transparency, gradients, and such.

In particular, look for the “LTBWidget” theme sections near the bottom of the “Glass” system theme file. You can change the “background” property to a static color with something like “rgb(0,0,0)” (this will be a black color, or you can use Hex colors codes instead of RGB values.

Snippet to look for:

LTBWidget#WindowVisible{
  background: QLinearGradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 1, y2: 1.1, stop: 0.1 %%PRIMARYCOLOR%%, stop: 1 transparent);
}
LTBWidget#WindowInvisible{
  background: transparent;
}
LTBWidget#WindowActive{
  background: QLinearGradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 1, y2: 1.1, stop: 0.1 %%HIGHLIGHTDISABLECOLOR%%, stop: 1 transparent);
}
LTBWidget#WindowAttention{
  background: QLinearGradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 1, y2: 1.1, stop: 0.1 %%HIGHLIGHTCOLOR%%, stop: 1 transparent);
}
